Privacy policy
We keep the details we need to look after your car and nothing more. This page says what they are, why we have them and what you can ask us to do with them.
Who is responsible
Mega Factors Limited (company no. 174893, registered office 1A Heather Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin 18), trading as Ace Tyres & Exhausts, 1A Heather Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin 18, D18 H9N1. Email info@acetyres.ie, phone 01 295 3829.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email, so we can confirm bookings, text you when your car or your tyres are ready, and send invoices.
- Your car’s registration, make, model and mileage, and what we fitted or found, so the next visit starts from what we already know.
- Photos of your car or tyres taken during a job, when they help explain work we recommend, and any photo you send us in the chat.
- Payment records: the amount, date and a reference from our card provider. We never see or store your card number; Dojo, our card provider, handles it — on the card machine in the shop, and on its own secure page if we ever send you a payment link.
Why we are allowed to
To carry out the work you have asked for (contract), to keep the books the law requires us to keep (legal obligation), and to remind you about servicing or NCT dates for a car we have looked after (legitimate interest; tell us and we stop).
Who else sees it
- Suppliers get a tyre size or a part number and, for parts, your registration so the right part comes. They do not get your name or phone number.
- Dojo processes card payments under its own privacy policy.
- Our text and email providers carry the messages we send you.
- Our AI provider, Anthropic, processes the messages and photos you send in our chat so the assistant can answer you. The chat is an AI assistant; anything it can’t sort is passed to our staff.
- A vehicle-data provider gets the registration you type in, to find the make, model and year of your car. It does not get your name or phone number.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it. We do not sell or share details for marketing.
How long we keep it
Invoices and payment records for seven years, as Revenue requires. Booking details and vehicle history for as long as the car keeps coming to us and up to three years after. Photos for two years unless attached to an invoice.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted where we no longer need it, or object to reminders. Email info@acetyres.ie and we will answer within a month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, dataprotection.ie.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies it needs to work — to remember a booking in progress, and to keep our own staff signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
